REID FOR NEVADA COMMITTEE ON-LINE PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to all of the RR Sites.

  1. Information Collection from User Input
    1. State regulators require RFNC to collect certain information from every donor who gives money to us. For these reasons, RFNC collects some information that can be directly associated with a specific person (“Personal Information. Personal Information includes, but is not limited to names, addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses.
    2. RFNC collects Personal Information from donors and other eligible individuals who register with any RR Site or affirmatively request to receive e-mail or other services from any RR Site. RFNC collects this Personal Information in order to provide these eligible individuals with timely information via e-mail regarding political events, resources and issues. RFNC also collects Personal Information from those who make online contributions to the campaign, in order to process and report the contributions.
    3. It is RFNC’s general policy not to make Personal Information available to anyone other than our employees, staff, agents, political party, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement. RFNC may also make personal information available to organizations with similar political viewpoints and objectives, in furtherance of RFNC’s political objectives.
    4. RFNC treats your name, city, state, and any comments as public information. RFNC may, for example, provide compilations of petitions, with your comments, to state leaders, without disclosing email addresses. RFNC may also make comments along with your city and state available to the press and public online.
  2. Technical Information Collection
    1. RFNC logs IP addresses, which are the locations of computers or networks on the Internet, and analyze them in order to improve the value of our site. RFNC also collects aggregate numbers of page hits in order to track the popularity of certain pages and improve the value of our site. RFNC does not gather, request, record, require, collect or track any Internet users' Personal Information through these processes.
    2. RFNC uses cookies on our site. A "cookie" is a tiny text file that RFNC stores on your computer to customize your experience and support some necessary functions. RFNC also uses cookies to better understand how our visitors use our site. Our cookies contain no Personal Information and are neither shared nor revealed to other sites. RFNC does not look for or at other sites' cookies on your computer.

  3. E-Mail List Opt Out
    1. Subscribers to e-mail lists may terminate their subscriptions by opting out by sending an e-mail to support@roryreid.com, along with your e-mail address in the subject line.
  4. Children’s Information
    1. Because RFNC cares about the safety and privacy of children online, RFNC complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). COPPA and its accompanying FTC regulation establish United States federal law that protects the privacy of children using the Internet. RFNC does not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. The RR Sites are not intended to solicit information of any kind from children under 13. It is possible that by fraud or deception that RFNC may receive information pertaining to children under 13. If RFNC is notified of this, as soon as RFNC verifies the information, RFNC will immediately obtain parental consent or otherwise delete the information from the servers of the RR Sites.   5. Security
    1. RR Sites are maintained by organizations other than RFNC through service provider agreements. Part of these agreements is to maintain the security of personal information obtained from the RR Sites and stored on the RR Sites. RFNC is a political committee and not a technology services provider and as such relies on the expertise of technology providers to adequately protect the information obtained through the RR Sites or stored on the RR Sites.
    2. Your own efforts to protect against unauthorized access play an important role in protecting the security of your personal information. You should be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer, and always log out of any site when viewing personal information.
    3. RFNC may have links to other, outside web sites that RFNC do not control. RFNC are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of these sites, and you should check those policies on such sites.
  6. Policy Changes
    1. RFNC will revise or update this policy if RFNC’s practices change, or as RFNC develops better ways to keep you informed about them. You should refer back to this page often for the latest information and the effective date of any changes. If RFNC decides to change this policy, RFNC will post a new policy on the RR Sites and change the date of the policy.
  7. Governing Law
    1. You agree that use of any RR Site is sufficient proof of assent to show your agreement that you waive all rights of publicity based on your interaction or use of any RR Site as set forth in NRS 597.790 and that this privacy policy is written proof of such waiver.
    2. The RR Sites and this privacy policy shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Nevada without regard to any conflict of law provisions.
