Clean Energy
Nevada can and should lead America in the development of clean, renewable energy, but for too long we’ve only talked about it. These are the steps Rory will take to establish Nevada as a clean energy leader:
- Offer incentives to attract clean energy manufacturing companies.
- Make state government lead by example on sustainable building practices and energy efficiency and require major new private-sector buildings to do the same.
- Improve the state’s energy-related economic development incentives.
- Promote sales tax exemptions on the purchase of industrial solar, geothermal, and wind equipment.
- Capitalize a Nevada Energy Independence Fund to establish Nevada’s leadership in clean technology investments.
